Hi, I'm Megan Sugden and I've been a professional photographer for nearly 20 years. From my front porch in rural Hallock, Minnesota with only the prairie spanning for miles, I have the perfect view of the night sky, and have been able to capture countless photographs including the Northern Lights and the Milky Way from my own front yard!
My day job is a portrait and commercial photographer, so I decided to mesh these two passions and begin offering photo sessions for my clients... under the stars!

EXPLORE SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SKIES IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA
Do you have an adventurous spirit? Are you (not) afraid of the dark? Do you have patience to wait for something that is (most definitely!) worth the wait? This isn't your every day photo session. In fact, it might not seem like a photo session at all. We'll be utilizing long exposures and light painting techniques that require you to be still and silent for long periods of time... we most likely won't see your face (don't worry about hair and makeup!).... but that's part of the beauty of taking in a night sky portrait experience, and I can promise you the photos will be out of this world extraordinary!

How It Works
The first step is to fill out the contact form below and let me know you're interested! We'll discuss available dates and times, if you're willing to stay on a wait list for the Northern Lights or just want an awesome starry session--I can acommodate both!

A $250 deposit is required to hold your session and save your date (this goes directly towards your full session fee!) The remaining balance is due the day of the session and can be paid by credit card, check, or cash.

It's official—get excited! I will reach out to you a few days before our session to confirm our plans and answer any questions. If you are on a Northern Lights wait list I will let you know approximately 24 hours in advance. This is not a guarantee but a better chance of seeing the lights!
